| Group of Eight focuses on the recovery of the economy first and costs later Wed Jul 8, 2009 10:58 am GMT
For Aquila (Italy) (Reuters) - is expected to tell world leaders at their summit in Italy on Wednesday that global economic recovery is not guaranteed and governments will start worrying about spending plans as soon as stimulating a huge success. The draft statement is to be published on the summit of the Group of Eight major industrialized nations obtained by Reuters, "Despite the emergence of signs of stability, including the recovery of stock markets ... but the situation remains unclear and is still a significant risk of the economy and threaten financial stability."
The leaders, who on Wednesday went to the town of Aquila to the quake-hit start to talk the economy will say they are committed to the withdrawal of the incentive plans, but only when the economy appears safe, effective.
The draft said, "We agreed on the need to prepare appropriate strategies to give up as soon as the special procedures to ensure economic recovery." "The exit strategies will vary based on economic conditions and public finances."
Economists say that the renewed concerns over the prospect of market recovery in the past few weeks means that it is logical to keep the efforts to ensure the recovery of the economy at the top of the agenda.
Said Gavin Friend, analyst at National Australia Bank in London, "in two or three years there has been monitoring the state of facts is quite logical to announce the leaders," he said.
Before the meeting, officials said German Chancellor Angela Merkel will press other leaders to once again reaffirm their commitment to rapidly restore the health of public finances after the crisis.
But the United States, Britain, Japan and France wants to keep the focus more on recovery efforts at the present time. The language reflected the position of the United States at a summit of finance ministers last month. It is scheduled to make the Group of Eight, which includes the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Canada and Russia, the statement after several hours of talks on Wednesday afternoon. | |

| I think that United States, Britain, Japan and France are right, when they say that they want to concentrate on recovering from the present situation. Concentrating and making every effort to make the speedy recovery sounds logical. | |

| I agree, Thinking about whats gonna happens after we recover from recession is sort of illogical, The government's should make every effort to improve the situation of commoners. And it should be there first priority. | |
